Long Time No Update
As you can see, I've been rather lazy lately with the updates. I guess it was the fact that I was scrubbing poop off the floors, walls, doors, furniture, and toys last night in Sebastian's room that reminded me to write up something. 3 days before we got tough with Sebastian about pooping in his pants and made him take a cold shower. He was really upset by it, and consequently I think it backfired on us because he didn't poop for 3 days... until yesterday... and then he painted his room with it.
Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.
Well, daddy says everyone has their kid's disgusting poop story and this was probably ours. Hopefully it will be our LAST one. In any case, I'm going back to what was working best before-- positive reinforcement / bribery. That's the only thing he seems to respond well to.
Yesterday (before the massive poop episode), I took Sebastian to the Museum of Nature Science with Aunt Rachel and her new boyfriend and his 2 year old daughter to go see the dinosaur exhibit. Sebastian's face lit up at every turn, and when it was time to leave he collapsed and cried right in front of the elevator (blocking everyone of course) because he didn't want to go. He's so fun to take to places like that-- it's a real joy for me reliving my own childhood through his eyes. Funny enough, the last time I was at that museum was probably with Aunt Rachel when we were in middle school!
Persephonie is doing very well. She had a bit of a battle with eczema / cradle cap which we have gotten under control. Other than that, she's growing at a steady rate and is always so smiley and happy. Her personality is definitely showing through. She loves to watch people and loves to be held although she has her limits where she gets tired. She's learned real quick when family nap time is as she too enjoys taking a nap when the more noisy kid goes down. Her teeth are starting to hurt a bit so she's been chewing and drooling a bit more lately (although she's not the drool monster that Sebastian was as a baby). She's been enjoying her exersaucer lately and has been getting frustrated with operating the toys on it like Sebastian used to.
Anyway-- on to the photos:

Sebastian and Persephonie chillin' on the couch.
Sebastian being silly for the camera.

Daddy takes a break with his kiddos.
Sebastian's after Christmas nap... he wouldn't part with his toys.
Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.
